Pretty woman covering mouth with hands embarrassed to smile.Teeth that are damaged, crooked, stained, or missing can wreak havoc on your self-image and emotional well-being. If you avoid smiling, laughing, and even talking in front of others because you’re embarrassed by how your teeth look, we offer a wide range of restorative and cosmetic dentistry procedures, such as porcelain veneers and dentures at Brian E. Woodard DDS that can dramatically transform your smile and boost your self-confidence.

There’s no need to live with a smile you dislike or hide it behind your hand any longer. Research has shown that when you smile, and do so frequently, it can improve your mood, reduce stress, and positively affect your overall health. Dr. Woodard and Dr. Kryszan are fully equipped to improve the appearance of your smile. Below are just a few of the many restorative and cosmetic treatments we provide.

Teeth Whitening

The foods and beverages you consume, age, and certain lifestyle habits can all affect the color of your teeth. Because enamel is porous, over time, teeth will begin to discolor. Cosmetic imperfections, such as yellow, grayish, or stained teeth can prevent you from smiling confidently.

Although certain whitening strips and toothpastes found at your local grocery store may help to a certain degree, having your teeth professionally whitened can significantly improve the appearance of your smile. Our in-office treatment delivers same-day results in under an hour, revealing a smile up to eight shades whiter.

Dental Implants and Dentures

If you are missing one tooth or an entire arch of teeth, we are fully equipped to restore your smile with a variety of dental restorations. For patients looking for a permanent solution to missing teeth, we recommend dental implants. This procedure uses small titanium posts surgically inserted into your jawbone to support a single dental crown, bridge, or denture. Dental implants and implant-supported restorations operate much like natural teeth and can mimic the tooth roots to prevent jawbone deterioration and facial structure changes.

For patients looking for a less invasive approach to significant tooth loss, we will work with our partner dental lab to create a customized denture, designed to rest on your gums.

Porcelain Veneers and Dental Bonding

Both porcelain veneers and dental bonding are recommended for patients with a variety of cosmetic imperfections, such as stained, chipped, cracked, or crooked teeth. Veneers are thin shells of durable porcelain customized to securely and seamlessly cover the front surface of teeth to conceal imperfections. Each veneer is custom-made in our partner lab and fabricated in such a way to blend with the natural shape, size, and color of your smile.

For patients looking for a quick and more affordable approach to concealing damaged teeth, we can provide dental bonding. This procedure uses color-matched composite resin strategically layered over the teeth to create an aesthetically-pleasing smile. Although more affordable, results are not as long-lasting as porcelain veneers. When porcelain veneers are properly cared for, they can last up to 15 years.

In the past, the only way to straighten teeth consisted of undergoing traditional metal braces. Although effective, this treatment is not always the most appealing for adults looking to achieve a straighter smile. Invisalign® provides virtually invisible aligner trays made from BPA-free plastic as a discreet solution to gaining a more attractive smile. You will be given a series of trays, with each tray worn at least 22 hours a day consecutively for two weeks. After two weeks, you will graduate to the next tray in the series. Because trays are removable, you can still eat all your favorite foods, brush your teeth with ease, and have peace of mind when speaking at an important presentation.
